Hello Bloggers!
Today's card is a special order for a friend, the theme was Tatty Teddy and they wanted a book style card.
The book was made using three 6x6 inch cards linked together. The papers and toppers were printed out using the Do Crafts CD and most of the toppers were decoupaged. I wanted a smooth, shiny effect for the heart, so before I cut the second layer out, I covered it with clear book covering. (the type that comes on a roll, like we used to use at school) This is self adhesive and gives a nice instant, shiny effect which is thin enough to easily cut out.

Good evening everyone, I hope you have had a good weekend? mine has been busy as always!
I thought I would share the card I made at club on Saturday.
It is a drawer easel card, I confess I did actually buy a ready cut kit for this one from La Pashe, but all the decoration is my own! I used papers from a black and white pad, the stamp is a wood mounted one from Stampendous, which I stamped in black ink and left uncoloured on a Nellies multi frame die cut. I added a couple of gems to the flowers to pretty it up a bit and then matted it onto black and rounded the corners.
For the stopper I matted and layered more paper and put an embossed topper saying "On your special day" which I dont think the camera has picked up. I used an X cut border die for the black border. I finished off with a polka dot bow and some black ribbon and a brad for the drawer pull.
I hope you like it!
If you go to the main site I shall be putting a late freebie Friday download on for you to enjoy.

Good evening bloggers! I hope you all had a good weekend?
I thought I would share with you the cards I made on Saturday, we had the lovely Jo Channon come to our club and we made 3 cards with her.
The first card was made using a Spellbinders 3D M-bossibilities folder as the background which we then rubbed over with gold gleam, which as you can see it really makes it pop. We then cut a frame out of double sided film using a spellbinders die and then covered it with gilded flakes and stuck it onto a stamped image of a car which was coloured with distress inks.
The second card was made with an A4 M-bossibilities folder for the background and again rubbed over with gleam. We then used a melting pot with UTEE for the embellishments which we again rubbed over with gleam.
The third card uses a poppy stencil with distress inks as a background. We then cut the poppy D-lites dies out, coloured and then glittered them, for the main image.
Thanks to Jo for the workshop which I think I can say for everyone was really enjoyable.

Hello everyone, I am so sorry I have been away for so long but there has been so much to sort out with the death of my mother-in-law. I have been backwards and forwards sorting out the house and contents as well as the funeral.
I am back now and by way of an apology, I am putting more than one freebie Friday on the main site, so fill your boots!
